Carven Pre-Fall '12

Carven’s Pre-Fall 2012 Collection was heavily inspired by the 60's working woman. The collection consists of knee-length a-line skirts, shift dresses, contrast Peter Pan collared blouses with matching jackets and cardigans. The dominating hues ranged from mustard and violet to turquoise and various icey blues. The striking accessories stood out against the pieces, as the round clutches channel the upcoming trend of unconventional shapes for handbags this year. This collection also features simple pointy-toed pumps and futuristic shiny flatforms by Robert Clergerie.Key pieces from the collection included cable knit sweaters, and a-line mini skirts.
Creative Director of Carven Guillaume Henry was inspired by photographer Diane Arbus’s 1960's portraits of real women because he“…really wanted to get this feeling of the way they used to dress then in the ’60s…there was no question of age or social position.”
