Karl Lagerfeld presented a 73 look resort collection on May 9th, 2011 in Cannes to an audience of 200. The show took place at Hotel Du Cap in Antibes on the French Rivera. Lagerfeld described the collection to WWD as " a modern version of sophisticated dressing- to go with those boats"- he was referring to the yachts parked out on the water.
The part of the collection I did not enjoy was the "tango thongs" that the models wore- shoes that were a high boot with a flip-flop front exposing the foot and covering the leg. With these shoes, it almost appeared that the models were wearing pants under skirts and dresses.....ek!
