So after my successful day yesterday, I decided to venture off again into the Centre. I am afraid that all of my photos are going to start looking the same because every time I cross the bridges to the Centre, I seem to take the same pictures...
Today wasnt as interesting as yesterday, however it was still fun. After walking around not knowing where I was going in the Centre I found myself in a little church that was built in the 1300's, and following a asian tour group for a bit (I slightly stuck out...so I went the other way). I really need to do some research about Florence, so when I am looking at a certain statue....I actually know what I am looking at. I guess its something else to put on my list of things to do. After returning from the Centre, I came back home to find my one roommate almost heading out the door, so I actually ended up going back into the Centre and took some pictures along the way. We then met up with a friend of hers who is studying with f.i.t (fashion institute of tech in nyc), and went for drinks. However by that time I was feeling a tad bit exhausted (as im still not caught up with the time and all this walking is more than im used to) so I decided to head back home and look for a birthday cake for my other roommate (her birthday was today!). This mission proved to be unsuccessful as the bakery that I went to had no cake. I couldn't really understand that, however the "cakes" they had were custardy looking things, nothing like what a cake looks like. Luckily, we ended up getting an amazing cake that was something like a strawberry rum mix.
So now its almost midnight and I am slightly exhausted but trying to stay awake to get my body adjusted to this time change!
