It is worth a visit for sure! It was a beautiful place full of colour. We couldn't stop thinking about how it reminded us of Cuba or the South of France. 2 days was just enough to tour the Centre and go to the beach. Perhaps if I go next time, I will consider going outside the captial.

Firenze Girono 37
I made the above image today in graphics class, I thought it was pretty cool so I decided to put it up! Our professor showed the class this technique of selecting areas and pasting pictures into the selected area- it creates a really unique look.
In class I used some of my swimwear sketches to create a lifelike bathing suit, it was exciting to see my sketches come to life. This technique is my new favourite- when I do some more images I will post them :)
We also booked our hotel for Cagliari- 16 more days!

Firenze Girono 25

After a long stressful day at school, my day finally picked up.
My next long weekend is the first weekend in June, originally I wanted to go to Paris to see the Madame Gres exhibit, however the flights were expensive and the bus would take too long! Last night I was searching online and found a place called Cagliari. Originally I had heard about it while reading an airline magazine on my flight to Florence, however forgetting about it...
I searched Ryan Air and found a cheap flight, then I posted my findings on my classes facebook wall, to see if anyone was interested.
Tonight when I got home, I saw the flight from Pisa to Cagliari was 1 euro (8.40 euro with tax)- you really cant beat that! So I decided to tell the girls about the fights and so far it is me and one other girl- Amira. However there might be two others joining!
Here is a little bit of facts about Cagliari
- Capital island of Sardinia, since Roman times
- Has one of the biggest ports in the Mediterranean
- Best explored by foot
- It is known for its Art Nouveau influence
