4 ways to wear a silk Wilfred kimono

this is it

So I fell in love with the watercolour print of this Wilfred silk kimono from Artizia. I am leaving for Florence, Italy tomorrow and packing is a tad bit on the overwhelming side, basically I am trying to bring as much as I can (as I only have 1 suitcase to take- urgh) and make sure I can make a couple of outfits out of each thing. So I saw this in my closet and I put my creative skills to work, as I try and make a couple options out of what ive got. This is a great piece, however I doubt I will ever wear it as an actual kimono (crossed over in front with a skinny belt of some sort). Anyhow the only addition I made to one of the tops was I pinned a piece of scrap fabric on the back, the one shoulder top is also pinned at the chest. My favourite way is the last top, all you do is tie the arms at your chest and pin it shut- it would also look sure cute over a bikini too! Sorry about the picture quality, kinda crappy and awkwardly cropped- but thats me! And yes, I am actually that tan ( I know, I was surprised too), guess thats what happens when you live in the Caribbean ;p

and sorry if you are reading this mum...im getting back to packing now- ha!

laugh cry repeat

L.A based label, Laugh Cry Repeat was founded by designers William Anzevino and Richard Florence. I love the combinations of colours and fabrics. The clothes are very versatile as each piece can be worm either casual or somewhat dressy. Enjoy!

What I Did Today- take 2

So I wish I could say my life is so interesting everyday, that I have something to say about it...but its not really (besides the past 2 days). So today I spent the afternoon making flower arraignments and finding my hidden talent for something I never thought I would be good at! Starting off the day riding in the back of a pick up truck was probably the best start Ive had to my day in awhile! I ended the evening with a nice walk...
I made 3 different arraignments and both the first and second are similar however the third one is partially finished, I had to incorporate dark purple calla lillies, palm trees, and coconut bark...its quite a challenge but its working. I liked it so much...im going to do it again tomorrow!

What I Did Today

I was hired to take pictures for a friend whom is having an amazing trunk sale at the end of next month. She has collected things from all over the world, her things ranged from ivory to Tibetan prayer sticks and even a Ming dynasty ceramic pot (pictured). I fell in love with her entrance way doors, they were carved dark wooden doors from the far east. Her apartment was a penthouse unit, so as soon as I was finished I went for a swim- the last picture shows what a great view she had...and how nice the day was!
