Inspired by a trip to Latin America and the stunning culture and craftsmanship; French label Sessun was born. Designer Emma Francois offers women a substantial wardrobe with a timeless appeal, where the clothes emphasise the luxurious materials used to make the garment.

Off whites, warm honeys and russet browns are the main building blocks for Spring/Summer 2011, where the clothes tell a story of travel and adventure. Flea markets and ethnic treasures are just some of Franscois’ many influences, whilst military details provide a slight vintage feel to the new collection.

A Collaboration To Be Excited About!

Vena Cava and the lower prices staple brand Uniqlo are pairing up for a collaboration that's as exciting to me as a freshly baked loaf of banana bread!
Back in December I had attended their sample sale in NYC's SoHo district where I snagged some great bargains. I first got hooked onto Vena Cava when they collaborated with Gap, I bought a wonderful khaki and black art deco inspired print dress. Pictured here (its the one with the zipper down the middle)

Since the success of the collaboration, Vena Cava has really grown as a brand and they have become more well known in the mainstream fashion world. They have also created an eco friendly lower priced line called, Viva Vena Cava

NYC for the Weekend (in pictures)

The show was amazing, the atmoshpere was something that you can really describe, you almost would have to take pictures of it to really explain. The people and the clothing were everywhere from laid back to ooohhh are they really wearing that?! I finally got to wear my Michael Angel digital print dress and my birthday dress my 3.1 Phillip Lim sequin ensemble. Fashion Week is something that everyone should experience, its really a treat (I know- super cliche to say, but its true! oh and all the free stuff isnt bad either!) Oh and its my birthday today! yaaay for finally being 21 :)

MBFW Street Style Competition

So this morning, after hardly sleeping for the past few days..I WON! So I am going to NYC this friday for the weekend, where I am going to be attending the G-Star Raw Denim Show on Saturday and there is possible talk of catching the DKNY show (however this is about a 20% chance...). I am beyong excited and I am glad to finally get some sleep instead of constantly checking to see if I won or not ;p

watch out nyc! btw its my 21st birthday on tuesday..unfortunatly I will not be in the city, but thats ok, I think I'm going to celebrate like its my birthday!
